Integra Building hold first annual Golf Day to raise funds for WISHH Space to Grow appeal

Earlier this month, Integra Buildings, joined by partners, supporters and friends, completed their first annual Charity Golf Day in support of WISHH. The day, held at Burstwick Country Golf, raised an incredible £4,020 towards our Space to Grow appeal with Hull Royal Infirmary’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

Integra Buildings Charity Golf Day

Space to Grow is a £100,000 appeal to enhance facilities at NICU for the benefit of patients, families and staff. Each year, the Unit cares for more than 500 babies from 22 weeks gestation, offering specialist intensive care for babies locally and across the country. The Hospital Trust is expanding the unit with five more cots, and WISHH want to add to this vital facility with extra amenities to provide comfort to families during their stay. The enhancements will include a sensory room, space for siblings to play, comfortable areas for parents to talk with medical staff, and the addition of a staff training facility.

We were delighted to meet with SHEQ Director and Co-Owner, Paul Tansey and Environmental, Health and Safety Officer and event organiser, Tom Oliver as they presented the cheque to Neonatal Ward Manager, Francesca Matthews.

Paul Tansey said: “Our first ever charity golf day proved a huge hit. It was great for our own team to spend a day with many of our partners and suppliers, all raising money for a hugely worthwhile cause. Thanks to all who joined us on the day and supported the event. Without your continued support, so much of what we do at Integra wouldn’t be possible.”

Francesca Matthews said: “Thank you so much to everybody at Integra Buildings for hosting their first Golf Day in aid of our appeal. The Space to Grow campaign is all about our babies and what is best for their long term future and development. The addition of state of the art equipment and the provision of the best possible environment for babies, parents and siblings, as well as improved staff learning facilities, will make a huge difference. Your donation will bring us closer to these vital enhancements.”

Lisa Whitton, WISHH Charity Manager, said: “We’re incredibly grateful to Integra Buildings, their staff, partners and supporters for making this day a reality.  Each donation to our Space to Grow appeal is an important step toward our £100,000 fundraising target. We’re incredibly thankful to everybody who has supported the appeal to date!”
