WISHH Fire Walk Raises Over £2,000 for Hull’s Hospitals

Six brave fundraisers took on the heat at a recent charity Fire Walk, raising more than £2,000 to support patients, families and staff at Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital.

Held at Hilltop Sports Park in Willerby on 24th September, the event saw three WISHH supporters from within the hospitals join three external fundraisers to take on the challenge of walking barefoot across hot embers.

Among the external fundraisers were two participants from local company Transwaste, who stepped up to support the cause and help make the event a fantastic success.

The Fire Walk was organised in conjunction with Health Stars and HEY Children’s University, bringing people together for an evening of courage, community spirit and fundraising.

The money our fundraisers collected will help WISHH continue its work supporting local hospitals, funding the additional comforts, experiences and improvements that can make a real difference to patients, their families and hospital staff.

A huge thank you to all six fire walkers and everyone who sponsored them for helping make the event such a success!
